Experience the tradition of Catalan human towers in Edinburgh at a workshop and open rehearsal. Recognised by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, Catalan human towers, known as castells are a unique tradition built around teamwork, trust and community. Taking place on 26 September 2026, join this fun, family-friendly workshop, and learn about the tradition and have a go at building a human tower with Colla Castellera d’Edinburgh. No previous experience is needed. You can also simply watch the open rehearsal and see how participants train. The event takes place at St Oswald’s Centre, and is free to attend.
