A double world record attempt with proceeds going to My Names Doddie Foundation for MND. The World's largest Burns Night & Whisky tasting

Dram of Destiny

Two World Record Attempts. One Unforgettable Scottish Celebration.

Doors 5pm, intended start time 6.30pm

On Saturday 30 January 2027, thousands of guests will gather at the Royal Highland Centre in Edinburgh for a spectacular celebration of Scotland’s culture, food, music and whisky.

Dram of Destiny will attempt to create history by bringing together up to 2500 guests for two official world record attempts:

The world’s largest Burns Night supper

The world’s largest in-person whisky tasting

Hosted by acclaimed Scottish actor James Cosmo, the evening will combine the traditions of Burns Night with the energy and scale of a major live event.

Guests will enjoy a specially prepared Burns supper, take part in a guided tasting of three Scotch whiskies and join thousands of voices for an unforgettable rendition of Auld Lang Syne.

The evening will also feature live performances from the Red Hot Chilli Pipers, traditional piping and drumming, the ceremonial Address to the Haggis, the Immortal Memory and a programme of entertainment celebrating Scotland’s heritage.
