Taught by guest tutor Michela Fulgoni at Artisan Stitch, it’s ideal for confident beginners and improvers. This course is not for absolute beginner sewists. It’s designed for adults who already have basic machine skills and want to build confidence, accuracy, and technique to achieve a well‑fitting garment. Meet your tutor: Michela worked as a womenswear designer and pattern cutter for prestigious fashion houses in Italy and Switzerland for seven years, before moving to London and developing her sewing skills further in a sustainable couture atelier. She launched her own label, Beffi Studio, in 2019 and continues to design and produce garments in Scotland, using upcycling and zero-waste techniques. Michela began teaching sewing in 2024 and quickly discovered that sharing her skills was something she loved. She now combines her design work with teaching, bringing her professional experience in design, pattern cutting and garment construction to her Dressmaking classes at Artisan Stitch.
