Rachel and Holli perform music rooted in the traditions of Scotland’s west coast. Inspired by their shared upbringing in Argyll, their programme weaves together traditional tunes from Scotland and further afield with original compositions. Blending fiddle, accordion, piano and song, they explore a varied repertoire, from lively dance tunes and expressive slow airs to songs that tell stories of people and place. Their musical style is distinguished by a focus on immersive arrangements that highlight texture, interplay and the character of each instrument. Rachel and Holli bring warmth, energy and musical sensitivity to their performances, celebrating both the rich traditions and the creative possibilities of Scottish folk music.
