Our 'Epidemics' Museum in a Box loan kit lets students investigate four infectious diseases - Smallpox, Plague, Cholera and Covid-19!

The Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh has a collection of Museum in a Box loan kits which are available for loan to schools in Edinburgh and surrounding areas.

The Epidemics loan kit allows students to investigate four different infectious diseases - Smallpox, the Plague, Cholera and Covid-19 - in an engaging and exciting way. Through fun activities students will learn how these diseases spread, be challenged to stop an infectious disease spreading, and use objects and archive materials to identify diseases.

Epidemics contains four different activity packs, a folder of archive materials and 13 different objects - including one of our most popular objects - the plague mask!

All Museum in a Box loan kits from The Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh are designed to be used with students from p5 to S2.

After booking through Eventbrite you will be contacted via email to complete and sign our loan contract, to choose a pick-up date and time, and to choose a drop-off date and time.

All loan kits must be pick-up up from the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh, 11 Queen Street, Edinburgh, EH2 1JQ.
