Points of Encounter is an exhibition at &Gallery in Edinburgh featuring work from 42 selected artists. The artists were chosen following an international open call. Tickets are priced as listed on the website.
We are thrilled to announce our third Open Call Exhibition, Points of Encounter. Following an international open call, we have selected 42 exceptional artists from a diverse and highly talented field of applicants. The exhibition celebrates artists with distinctive creative practices, including many who will be exhibiting in Scotland for the first time. Points of Encounter offers an opportunity to discover new voices in contemporary art while extending beyond our established annual exhibition programme. Bringing together artists from across the globe, Points of Encounter celebrates the unexpected connections that emerge between different materials, processes and perspectives. While each artist brings a distinctive visual language, together the works form a rich dialogue across contemporary practice. Working across ceramics, painting, sculpture, collage, assemblage, glass, drawing, printmaking, photography and mixed media, the exhibition reflects the breadth and diversity of contemporary artistic practice. We look forward to welcoming these outstanding artists to the gallery this September. Exhibiting artists: Angela Lane, Arjan Van Dal, Barbara Jenner, Cameron Lings, Christine Sloman, Clare Lane, Dan Hamer, David Rhys Jones, Deborah Boyd Whyte, Emma Baker, Frea Buckler, Geoff Porter, Gilly Langton, Harriet White, Helen Ireland, Imogen Andrews, Jane Bottery, Jo Fleming Smith, Jo Ganter, Jonathan Lawes, Kirsty Bell, Kristian Jon Larsen, Livia Marinescu, Lou Taylor, Lucy Jones, Maria Wojdat, Mark Watkins, Matthew Richardson, Miriam Steinberg, Myriam Jiménez, Olivia Jones, Orlanda Broom, Rebecca Griffiths, Rhona Fleming, Sharon Quigley, Sophie Southgate, Steven Cox, Valeriya Isyak, Vic Wright, Wilfried Nijhof, Youn Kyung Cho, and Yumi Bancon.
