About This Event

This hands-on workshop is an introduction to capturing the season in a bottle. Using fresh ingredients from Ravenscraig Walled Garden and our local hedgerows, you’ll learn how to create your own fruit vinegars and infused gins. Taking place outdoors at our open-air cooking stations, we’ll start by exploring the garden together. You’ll learn how to identify and pick the best seasonal fruits and herbs, and we’ll discuss how different flavour profiles from floral to tart work together. What we’ll do: Harvest seasonal ingredients directly from the garden. Create – you’ll make a fruit vinegar and start a gin infusion to take home and finish. We’ll spend time tasting various infusions and comparing notes so you leave with plenty of ideas. Whether you want to create unique gifts or fill your own larder, you’ll leave inspired and ready to experiment at home. Please wear clothing suitable for the outdoors and for cooking.
