This 90 minutes talk offers a clear, grounded introduction to Reiki for those who would like to understand what Reiki is, how it works, and why so many people turn to it for relaxation, self-awareness, and inner balance.

During the talk, we will explore:

what energy means in a broader sense and how it influences everyday life

Reiki as a structured system for self-care

common myths and misconceptions surrounding Reiki

Reiki as a relaxation therapy and as a spiritual practice — what is the difference?

Reiki as a guide towards greater clarity, direction, and life purpose

After the talk, participants will be invited to take part in a short group Reiki session, offering an opportunity to experience the calm and deeply relaxing state Reiki can support.

There will also be time for questions and open discussion.

This event is suitable for complete beginners, as well as for those who may have experienced Reiki before but would like a clearer and more grounded understanding of it.

No prior experience is needed.

The talk is led by Maija Kovalevska, Reiki Master Teacher and founder of Healing Hands Edinburgh, with over 16 years of personal Reiki practice and more than 9 years of teaching experience.
