Bring along an old Halloween costume and give it a new lease of life by fixing, mending or transforming it into something new. Or delve into EOW’s collection of scraps and reclaimed materials and see what you can create from scratch. Turn old bedsheets into ghost costumes, make bat wings or cat ears, create spooky bunting, badges and reusable Halloween decorations, or have a go on the knitting machine to create knitted ladders and spiderwebs. There’s no set project to follow – just plenty of materials, ideas and opportunities to experiment. Bring something from home to work on, start something new using EOW’s scraps, or simply come along and see where your imagination takes you. It’s a chance to make, mend, reuse and get creative this Halloween, whether you’re updating an old costume, making one for the first time or creating decorations you can bring out year after year. All ages are welcome and no previous making experience is needed. The session is completely FREE, but advance booking is required so EOW knows how many makers, ghosts and ghouls to expect – and can make sure there are plenty of spooky-making materials to go around.
