Course description: Our Community Gardening Project brings people together to grow food, build friendships, and improve wellbeing through shared outdoor activities. Open to people of all abilities, and backgrounds, the project provides opportunities to learn gardening skills, connect with nature, and contribute to a greener, healthier community. Participants can get involved in growing fruit, vegetables, and flowers, creating wildlife-friendly spaces, and taking part in workshops, volunteer days, and community events. As well as improving access to fresh produce, the garden offers a welcoming and supportive environment where people can boost their confidence, develop new skills, improve their physical and mental wellbeing, and feel a sense of belonging through meaningful community involvement.
