About This Event

Fun, supportive workshop led by Katy Cawkwell as part of her role as Bard of Exeter 2026/27 with a range of games and exercises to help you grow your confidence in sharing your work with an audience. Bring a story, a poem, a bit of writing, a talk, a song... that you'd like to work with in the session. Please register here: https://events.humanitix.com/spoken-word-performance-skills NB I am running another of these on Nov 19th especially for those whose anxiety is sometimes a barrier to attending this kind of event. See separate event listing. But you are also very welcome at this one, even if feeling nervous - you can join in as much or as little as you want to. If participants want to, there may be the opportunity to share your work at a "Bardic Blaze" celebration performance in January. See also my separate series of Mythic Inspiration workshops happening on the same day 1-4pm. Katy Cawkwell is the current co-Bard of Exeter, host of Artemis Storytelling, a performance storyteller with 30 years experience and a warm, engaging workshop leader who loves to help others find their voice. [www.katycawkwell.co.uk](https://www.katycawkwell.co.uk/) General admission is £10 which supports my work as a freelance storyteller (the Bardship is not a paid position!) There are a limited number of pay-what-you-choose tickets for those who need them (including free places). If you register for a free place and are then unable to come, please cancel, so it can be released to someone who will use it. Thank you. Tickets can be refunded up to 1 day beforehand. There will be a 10% admin charge for this. Please register here: https://events.humanitix.com/spoken-word-performance-skills
