We invite you to join a creative workshop exploring the value of continuity of care in GP practices at College Surgery, Bradninch.

What was it like to see the doctor sixty years ago, and what has changed?

For one day only, College Surgery opens its doors as a time machine. It is a surgery in a converted house: the waiting room is the front room and the dispensary the old kitchen. Step inside a recreated 1960s consulting room, then compare it with the room where your GP works today.

We invite attendees to contribute to a creative workshop where they can reflect on their own experience of waiting and care, using artistic and creative practice.

This event is part of Being Human Festival, the UK’s national festival of the humanities, taking place 5–14 November 2026.
