Let's go chasing waterfalls! Join us for a trail running weekend linking 5 picturesque waterfalls in the mountains of the West Highlands

This weekend retreat is a two-day trail running and wild-dipping adventure - running through the dramatic West Highlands to visit 5 stunning waterfalls - with the option of a quick dip for anyone brave enough!

You will visit some of our favourite spots in the company of a running guide and qualified wild-swimming coach. The itninerary* is as follows:

Friday pm - Inchree Falls (5km/100m); spectacular 8-drop falls in Righ Forest

Saturday - Grey Mare's Tail to Steall Falls (17km/1000m) finishing at the Harry Potter film location and Scotland's second-tallest waterfall.

Sunday - Glen Etive (via Triple Falls) to 'Meeting of Three Waters', Glencoe (6km/400m). We'll pay a visit to three cascading drops with deep plunge pools in the River Etive before running the Lairig Eilde to finish at the River Coe dipping pools of 'Insta fame'.

All routes will have a remote and rugged feel but will ultimately be suitable for those who are comfortably running around 10km on hilly trails . We will take a full day over our journey (mixing-up walking and running), taking a sociable approach to pace and making plenty of stops!

We won't be dipping in all falls/pools we pass of course, on account the early season and time this would take - but we'll support you to brave the chill if you dare!

Ticket costs include proffessional guiding, first aid and water safety, as well as taxi shuttles where required. Linking these remote waterfalls is logistically tricky - so let us handle the details and enjoy the spectacular views...

ACCOMMODATION

We are delighted to offer you West Highland Waterfalls with or without accommodation included (see ticket options). If you choose to stay with us at Roam West (https://roamwest.co.uk/), you will be able to run from your door on the Friday evening and will be perfectly situated for our weekend itinerary. You will also have access to the Roam West bar/restaurant, self-catering kitchen facilities and drying room.

The well-appointed shared rooms (2 or 3 persons) are comfortable lodge/hotel rooms (https://roamwest.co.uk/lodge) with hostel-style facilities on site.

LOGISTICS

Once you have booked we will email you at the start the event week to issue final details and outline what you need to carry with you for running in the mountains.

Course cost covers guiding and instruction with a Summer Mountain Leader and/or British Althletics/Fell Running Association (FRA) accredited guide.
