Join Kaci for a night of poetry, gothic fiction, and a party to celebrate the launch of her debut novelette A House Named Valentine!
Set in the 1800s, Charlotte Rowan and her husband move into a new house in an attempt to repair their crumbling marriage. Unable to process her husband’s betrayal, and clouded by jealousy, she succumbs into feelings of depression and insecurity as she loses her grip on reality, eventually falling deeply in love with the house she calls Valentine.
Without the care she needs, Charlotte stops at nothing to make sure Valentine will be hers and only hers, destroying her life, and the lives around her one by one. There are unholy relations…rising tensions…inside the halls of Valentine, no soul is safe…
What caused these feelings? Why won’t her husband help her? Can we trust that Charlotte is telling the full truth?…these queries and more will be answered, all you must do is step inside the creaking halls of the house named Valentine🖤
Alongside readings from the book, and featured sets from poets Beth Rose and Willow Heath there will be cake, a photographer and photobooth, and plenty to entertain the night! Taking place at Glasgow's pub without a name, 226 Gallowgate, G4 OTS (beside The Barras!) at 7pm for a 7:30 start time!
