Join us and Barbie and Ken. And maybe Alan. Celebrate the history and design of the world’s most iconic dolls with us in this special exhibition at Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum. This event is for transgender and nonbinary people only (including those who belong in those spaces - see our FAQs below). Please do not book if you are not trans/nonbinary. Please note the exact meeting location and timing will be sent out prior to the event. We are not meeting at 12 noon - this is a placeholder to keep our meeting safe. This event is free to attendees - LGBT Health and Wellbeing have covered the cost of the tickets. To make sure as many people as possible can enjoy the event, we will reach out to all signups to confirm timings and check that they are able to attend. There is also a waiting list - please keep an eye out for emails in case a spot opens up! If you are able to and would like to contribute to the cost of your ticket, we'd be very grateful! The easiest way is to donate here, follow the link to JustGiving, and add "Barbie" as a message on the Details screen above your payment method. The money will be added back to our budget. Important information Who: This event is for all trans and non-binary people aged 16+. We welcome all trans identities including trans female/feminine, trans male/masculine, genderqueer, and nonbinary identities, as well as intersex people, and people who cross-dress. We also welcome people with trans history or who are exploring their gender identity. When: Wednesday 26th August. Exact time and meeting location will be sent in advance of the event.
