This exhibition showcases the work of 4 acclaimed artists, Rosanne Barr, Emma S. Davis, Jane Hunter and Victoria Wylie interpreting the landscape in their own unique way through colour, emotion and connection. and creating meaning and value in all its beauty. Reflecting a shared appreciation and celebration for the Scottish landscape, they invite viewers to consider their relationship and connection to places and moments in time. Through energy, colour and a delicately balanced sense of abstraction, this exhibition highlights the atmosphere, vibrancy and simplistic beauty of the natural world and the attachment we feel to the world around us. Offering alternative and evocative layers of complex thoughts and feelings through the use of colour, expressive brushwork, simplified forms and textured surfaces, their connection and respect for the world is central in their work.
