Join us for a creative afternoon and design your own beautiful fused glass artwork at our Fused Glass Art Workshop! Join us for a relaxed, fun, creative glass fusing experience, set within the beautiful surroundings of Pollok Park. During this hands-on workshop you will create your own unique fused glass piece, perfect as a decoration for your home or a thoughtful handmade gift. This workshop is suitable for beginners as well as those with some experience. You will be guided step-by-step through the process in a friendly group setting, so you can explore your creativity and enjoy working with colourful glass materials. WHAT YOU WILL LEARN: You will be guided through the basic steps of glass fusing to create a glass project of your choice. You will learn how to cut glass and how to use a range of glass materials — including glass frits, powders, stringers and confetti — to decorate your design. Your glass will then be fused together at high temperatures in a kiln. No previous experience is necessary. WHAT YOU WILL TAKE HOME: At the end of the class your glass will be placed into the kiln to be fired. Once the firing process is complete, your finished piece will be posted to you (collection can also be arranged). All participants will receive further information via email prior to the workshop.
