About This Event

The festival brings the work of musician and composer Ellen Arkbro to Glasgow Cathedral on 20 September 2026. The event will feature sculptures and is open to all. The price of admission is from £12.00.

Few artists reshape the act of listening as radically as musician and composer Ellen Arkbro. Earning international acclaim with recent commissions for Biennale Musica 2025, Venice and Somerset House, London, she is fascinated by the textural and physical qualities of sound.

Slow your breathing as the evening light fades in Glasgow Cathedral, and experience Arkbro's Sculptures for pipe organ. Existing on the threshold between concert piece and sound installation, this unique performance for GCF2026 invites you to a place where spacious harmonic architectures emerge in tactile, three-dimensional layers-enveloping and alive.
