In conversation with journalist Mark Smith, join author Lex Lamb as they discuss the history of the much-loved 1988 Glasgow Garden Festival.

Lex Lamb's book, The Glasgow Garden Festival, examines the importance of the 1988 event to Glasgow’s history, the stories behind it and how writing about the event reveals a snapshot of Scottish civic, cultural and economic life in the late ‘80s.

Lex Lamb is a designer and local historian who has led projects exploring the legacy of the 1988 Glasgow Garden Festival.

The book features a stunning selection of photography of the 1988 event. This session will delight all those who remember the event so fondly.
