A musical conversation between two masters of the guitar

Two guitarists. Two extraordinary stories. One shared

tradition.

Coming together for an evening that traces a remarkable musical lineage, from the cafés of Paris to the songs of George Harrison and beyond. Martin Taylor and Robin Nolan share a deep connection to the gypsy jazz tradition inspired by Django Reinhardt, yet each brings a distinct voice shaped by decades of performance, collaboration and exploration.

Audiences can expect dazzling acoustic guitar interplay, intricate improvisation and the unmistakable swing of the Hot Club de France style, alongside fresh interpretations of songs associated with The Beatles and George Harrison. Delicate melodies, rhythmic virtuosity and spontaneous musical conversation create an atmosphere that is both intimate and exhilarating, revealing the expressive possibilities of two guitars in the hands of exceptional musicians.

Warm, elegant and steeped in musical history, this special festival performance offers a rare opportunity to hear two acclaimed artists celebrate a shared tradition while making it entirely their own.
