About This Event

The Milton of Campsie Community Garden will open its gates to visitors on Sunday 23 August 2026, as part of Scotland’s Gardens Scheme. This roughly one-acre hillside site, nestled beside the Glazert Water, was created by a single gardener and features a willow tunnel that leads into several distinct planted sections. A small beach area at the water’s edge provides a safe spot for children to play, while otters and kingfishers are occasionally spotted along the river. Originally conceived as a memorial space, the garden’s design encourages quiet exploration and reflection. Entry costs are available on the Scotland’s Gardens Scheme website.
