Each session is built around a single sustained pose, giving you three uninterrupted hours to settle in, work at your own pace, and develop a considered portrait from life. Work in whatever medium suits you — oils, charcoal, pastel, pencil, or watercolour. Stools and drawing boards are available, and a limited number of studio easels can be reserved when booking for an additional £2.50. The emphasis is on relaxed, focused practice rather than formal teaching: a chance to spend proper time with the model, work without rushing, and enjoy the company of other artists doing the same. For the month of September, sessions are available at an introductory price of £12.50 (normally £17.50).
