Join us as we explore Glasgow Cathedral and its surroundings and have lunch with locals!
International Student new to Glasgow? Welcome!
Come join us for a 1h tour of Glasgow Cathedral (the place where the first classes of Glasgow University were held in 1451) and the Necropolis and its view over the city. After that we will walk to our tour guide’s home in Dennistoun where you will be treated to a free lunch and a chance to chat to local people about life in Glasgow.
Please dress ready to walk and bring an umbrella/raincoat in case it rains. The walk will have multiple steps and inclines. Meet at the David Livingstone statue outside Glasgow Cathedral.
The event is hosted by local volunteers from East Glasgow Church and is part of the International Welcome 2026, organised by Friends International Glasgow. It is a social event open to all international students in Glasgow. People of all faiths (and none) are welcome.
