Supporting Childhood Cancer Ireland – Together We Can Make a Difference

Every year, Dún Laoghaire Lions Club is proud to support Childhood Cancer Ireland, a wonderful national charity dedicated to helping children and young people affected by cancer, along with their families. As part of our ongoing commitment to supporting those who need it most, we are delighted to host our annual Coffee & Scones Morning in aid of this very deserving cause.

Childhood Cancer Ireland is a charity led by parents and cancer survivors who understand first-hand the enormous emotional, practical and financial challenges that a childhood cancer diagnosis brings to an entire family. The charity provides vital support throughout a child’s cancer journey, from diagnosis and treatment through to recovery, survivorship and, sadly, bereavement. Its services include psychological support, play therapy, practical assistance, financial guidance and support for families during some of the most difficult times in their lives.

The charity relies on the generosity of the public, community groups and fundraising events to continue providing these essential services. Every donation, no matter how small, helps make a difference to children facing cancer and the families who stand beside them.

At Dún Laoghaire Lions Club, we believe that communities are strongest when people come together to help one another. Our annual Coffee & Scones Morning is a simple but meaningful opportunity for local people to enjoy a cup of coffee, some delicious scones and good company, while supporting an incredibly important cause.
