Free interactive workshop designed to help young adults to build confidence and develop a stronger communication skills

As part of our commitment to supporting people and communities in Grimsby, The Culture House is working in partnership with Acting Lincs CIC to deliver a programme of free workshops designed to build confidence and help improve communication.

Creating Confidence in Grimsby is aimed at young people and young adults aged 18–25, with sessions taking place across Grimsby.

Funded by Growing Together community fund, this workshop explores why we can sometimes struggle with confidence or feel nervous and anxious, while introducing practical tools and techniques to help manage low self esteem.

The session will be fun, accessible and interactive – this isn’t about acting or performing, and you don’t need any previous experience. It’s about creating a relaxed space to explore confidence, meet others and take away some useful tools for everyday life.

The workshops have been developed by theatre producer and Acting Lincs founder Lee Waddingham, drawing on more than 30 years of industry experience, in partnership with The Culture House.

Each session lasts approximately 2 hours and is completely FREE to attend.

About the facilitator

Lee Waddingham is the founder of Acting Lincs, a growing CIC in Lincolnshire dedicated to supporting acting development, confidence and performance skills through workshops, training and creative opportunities.

Lee is an Actor, Writer, Director and Producer with 29 years professional experience in theatre, film and television. He has over 200 individual professional productions to his credit and has produced and created shows starring Oscar, Bafta and Olivier Award winners. He has previously worked at the Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, The BBC, Ambassador Theatre Group, Selladoor Worldwide and RED Entertainment. His latest venture, Acting Lincs, shines the spotlight on Lincolnshire Based professional actors whilst also offering training to adult intermediate and beginner level actors.
