Join a monthly walk led by volunteers at Brimham Rocks, tracing the historic trail of the Cistercian monks to Fountains Abbey. Participants will explore beautiful scenery and learn about the area's heritage. Admission is required to take part in this event, which runs on selected dates.
Everyone is welcome to head on a monthly walk led by our volunteers. Follow in the footsteps of the Cistercian monks on an historic trail leading you to Fountains Abbey. Along the way, you'll be met with expansive views from Riva Hill to Brimham Rocks.
This is an 8 mile walk and will take approximately 5 hours -lunch break included. Please bring your own refreshments and picnics. Don't worry about walking back to Brimham Rocks as we'll be hopping on the DalesBus 825 service at Fountains Abbey at 4:39pm. The bus fare back costs £3, under 19's travel fare is £1.
Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a short lead and they must also be able to climb over stiles.
These walks will take place on the last Sunday of every month.
