A conversation with David J Shaw and Shannon Ghannam on print, place, community and who gets to document where we live.

What's on:

MADE HERE is a conversation about publishing rooted in place and community, and who gets to capture the places we live.

Photographer David J Shaw and Shannon Ghannam come together to talk about how photography and print can document, connect and shape communities, and what changes when the people within a place have a hand in telling its story.

Drawing on their own work together, they’ll explore local storytelling, representation and the role independent publishing can play in creating a record that comes from within a community rather than being imposed on it from outside.

Expect a conversation about place, people, photography, print and who gets to make the record.

Followed by the ZINEIUS closing social, with drinks, print, people and one final chance to browse the pop-up before Issue One wraps.

Part of ZINEIUS, a week-long celebration of independent print at PICNIC, curated by editorial studio Lekker Creative.
