How British political parties and the corporate media have colluded in Britain's complicity in genocide.

With his book 'Complicit,' Peter Oborne has ruffled a few feathers. He has shown that the British political authorities and the British corporate media have formed a cartel whereby most of what we have been told about the Israeli genocide in Gaza is “a multilayered deception.” In this book he names names and provides receipts.

This deception by British politicians and the media has facilitated Britain's part in this genocide. He shows the extent of this crime by pointing out that that between 4 and 5% of the population of Gaza has probably been killed by Israel: “In Britain, this would translate in to around three million fatalities.”

Much of Peter's work has been directed at the compromised state of both British politics and British media. In fact he has written two books on political lying!

Peter is regarded as one of Britain’s most celebrated political journalists. This meeting will give us a chance to find out more about the numerous topics he has written about: the capture of British politics by the US; British complicity in the wars on Lebanon and Iran as well as facilitating ethnic cleansing in the West Bank; how Britain is turning dissidents into 'terrorists;' and the worrying rise of Islamophobia – just to name a few.

Also speaking will be Irfan Chowdhury. Irfan is a freelance writer and researcher. He has had articles published in Declassified UK, Mondoweiss, the Palestine Chronicle, Bella Caledonia, Iraq Now, Roar News, Peace News, Liberated Texts and at Norman Finkelstein’s website. The title of his PhD is: 'How systematic were the British Army's war crimes in Iraq between 2003 and 2009?'
