About This Event

Scotney Castle in Hastings presents a photography display showcasing the Hussey family's life, pursuits, and international travels through a substantial collection. The exhibition draws on research conducted to further explore these images and narrate their historical context. Admission is required for visitors wishing to view this ongoing series of works.

Scotney Castle is home to a large photography collection illustrating the Hussey's family life, pursuits and travels abroad. Research was undertaken to better explore the collection and understand Edward 'Edwy' Hussey's own photographic experimentation.

This display was made possible through generous funding by CEWE.

For research, the National Trust has worked with St Andrews University and the Kent Archives.
