Join us in Hastings Country Park Nature Reserve for a Bat Walk followed by a Moth Night to see what night time creatures are flying around
As part of our High Weald Celebration Day, join Groundwork South on this night time bat walk starting at the Bale House Visitor Centre in Hastings Country Park. We will be using hand held bat detectors so we can hear bats using echolocation to hunt and catch insects.
On return from the bat walk, we will join local ecologist Andy Phillips to see which moths have been attracted to his light traps and to learn all about these flying insects.
We will be using red torches on this walk, but please bring a torch to get from the Bale House to your car safely.
Please dress in warm clothing and sturdy footwear. Bring a blanket to sit on.
If you are unable to attend this walk, please contact jill.tyson@groundwork.org.uk so your place can be given to someone else.
This walk is suitable for all ages.
Free parking after 4pm.
This event is funded by the High Weald National Landscape Partnership.
