Get out and explore the beautiful Moths in the Saltmarsh on the Nature Reserve.

Join us to learn more about the colourful world of moths at Rye Harbour Nature Reserve. We will open our moth trap to see which species we've caught overnight. Participants will learn about identification methods and get up close to a variety of moths. We will then release the moths back onto the reserve. After our moth survey we will head into the classroom for moth crafts.

Suitable for children aged 5 to 11 years, who must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who doesn’t need to book a ticket.

Location: Meet at the entrance to the Outdoor Edcuation Area on the right just before the Discovery Centre.

Public transport: How to find us | Rye Harbour Nature Reserve. The 313 Stagecoach bus travels from Northiam to Rye train station and on to Rye Harbour village.

What to bring/wear: Please wear suitable outdoor clothing that covers legs /footwear, and sun protection, for the weather conditions. The Lime Kiln café at the Centre will be open from 9.30am to 4.30pm for refreshments and lunch.

Accessibility: We will use accessible paths on the reserve and into the education room and on booking will ask about additional needs. Our toilet facilities will be available, if needed, at the beginning and end of your session.
