Transport & Address:
The minibus will be running as usual for anybody who wishes to get a lift from the Lido car park (The Rye, High Wycombe). The bus will leave at 10.00am promptly.
Or you can meet us on site at Tom Burt's Hill at 10.15am. We will meet at the top entrance five bar gate at the end of Carver Hill Road, HP11 2UQ. W3W: Hoping. Tent. Hardly
Please can we ask everyone to arrive on time to ensure you do not miss the health & safety and task briefing. If you are late and the session has already started, you may not be able to join. Thank you.
You don't need to print off your Eventbrite ticket!
The Task:
Plenty of tasks for all abilities and ages including coppicing, raking and litter picking! Join us for the morning and help make a difference to your local environment.
Timings (please note these timings are approximate):
10.15: Arrival for safety briefing and start work, please don't be late!
11.30: Tea & coffee break
13.00: Work finishes, time to go home! Thank you!
Access: Tom Burt's Hill is sloping throughout and may not be suitable for those with limited mobility.
What to Bring:
Please bring your gloves (we will have spares) and dress for the weather and the task.
Long trousers are advisable as there may be ticks and thorny vegetation. We also recommend wearing steel toe capped or sturdy boots rather than trainers.
Wear layers that you can remove if you get hot whilst working. Bring a waterproof as most of our sites have no shelter from the rain. If it's sunny you may aslo want to bring sun cream.
Please bring plenty of fluids. We will bring a tea kit and biscuits.
Please note:
Biscuits are served at all Chiltern Rangers sessions. Please advise if you have an allergy.
Sometimes there is a need for us to use power tools that can be noisy.
