Location: Today we will be working at Tom Burt's Hill. We will meet on site at 1pm and finish at approximately 3pm. We will meet at High Wycombe Ambulance Station, West End Street, HP11 2JQ. Please park at Eden Centre - a short walk away (https://www.edenshopping.co.uk/information/car-parking/) or you may find on street parking nearby. Please park considerately.
You don't need to print off your Eventbrite ticket!
Task: The start of autumn means it's time to gather seeds so we will start with collecting tree seeds to grow on at our tree nursery. If we have time there will also be raking, litter picking and thinning out vegetation.
Timings (please note these timings are approximate):
13.00: Arrival for a picnic
13:30 Safety and task briefing
14:45 Have a cuppa and finish for the day.
Access: Tom Burt's Hill is on a slope and may not be suitable for those with limited mobility.
What to Bring:
Please bring your gloves (we will have spares) and dress for the weather and the task.
Long trousers are advisable as there may be ticks and thorny vegetation. We also recommend wearing steel toe capped or sturdy boots rather than trainers.
Wear layers that you can remove if you get hot whilst working. Bring a waterproof as most of our sites have no shelter from the rain. If it's sunny you may aslo want to bring sun cream.
Please bring plenty of fluids and don't forget your packed lunch. We will bring a tea kit and biscuits.
Please note:
Biscuits are served at all Chiltern Rangers sessions. Please advise if you have an allergy.
