Whether you enjoy walking, nature, photography, arts and crafts, or simply spending time outdoors with others, this is a wonderful opportunity to connect with nature and your local community.

🍂 Explore, Discover, Collect & Create

As autumn gives way to winter, the Spen Greenway offers a chance to appreciate the beauty of the natural world and the wildlife that shares our local green spaces.

During our guided walk, we will:

EXPLORE – Take in the seasonal scenery, trees, plants and foliage along the Spen Greenway.

DISCOVER – Look out for local birds, wildlife and interesting features of the natural environment.

COLLECT – Gather fallen leaves and other suitable natural materials, where permitted.

CREATE – Use the colours, shapes and textures of our finds to inspire a piece of artwork.

The activity combines outdoor exploration, environmental awareness and creative expression, encouraging participants to see familiar places in new ways.
