Explore how carefully designed alternative provision can meet the needs of complex and vulnerable learners.

Join Trinity Academy Carlton Mill for Carlton Mill – Tier 2 Alternative Provision, a free event exploring how carefully designed alternative provision can meet the needs of complex and vulnerable learners.

This session will include a tour of the building, which has been consciously developed as a trauma-informed environment to support pupils who may need something different from mainstream provision.

Colleagues will see how the physical space, routines and relationships work together to create a calm, purposeful setting where young people can feel safe, supported and ready to engage.

The event will also explore how the curriculum is planned to balance academic progress with personal development, ensuring that pupils continue to build knowledge, confidence and the wider skills they need to flourish. Attendees will hear how staff measure impact, track progress and evaluate the difference provision is making for individual young people.

This free event is ideal for school leaders, SENDCos, inclusion leads, pastoral leaders and colleagues interested in developing or strengthening alternative provision that is ambitious, relational and responsive to pupils’ needs.
