Join Alex at Makerspace Hull for 3D Printing for Beginners!

3D printing has taken the world by storm, both at an industrial level for manufacturing and in the homes of hobbyists. As the technology continues to progress, the equipment becomes more accessible. So whether you want to create your own 3D models or simply plug and play, we can show you how!

In this 2 hour session, you will :

be introduced to the basics of navigating a 3D modelling program

design your own simple 3D model

learn how to 'slice' and prepare a file for 3D printing

be given an overview of how 3D printers work

take away your very own 3D print

All materials will be provided, as well as tea & coffee and a tour of Makerspace Hull.

All attendees must be aged 16+

Makerspace Hull is an arts and technology workspace hosted by Hull Central Library. Our space has state of the art manual, digital and electronic equipment, skilled staff providing support and workshops, as well as space to create, invent, explore, learn, think and exhibit. We're a self-led space where you can learn new skills or rediscover old ones with support from our team.
