Join us for an evening with Paul Spence, founder of the charity P.A.U.L For Brain Recovery.

Paul’s talk, "From Rock Bottom to Finding Purpose," provides a unique and candid insight into the patient journey following severe neurological trauma. Surviving a devastating "one-punch" traumatic brain injury, Paul navigated profound physical, cognitive, and emotional hurdles to rebuild his life. Through personal insight and lived experience, his address explores:

Coping mechanisms, rehabilitation, and the long-term realities of acquired brain injury.

Developing resilience and adopting a growth mindset amidst life-altering adversity.

How the medical community can best support patients and their families as they transition from acute clinical care back into the community.

Speaker Biography

Paul Spence is an inspirational speaker, marathon runner, mountaineer, and founder of P.A.U.L For Brain Recovery. Following a life-changing brain injury, Paul dedicated himself to raising awareness, promoting mind-management techniques, and creating community-based support services for brain injury survivors and their families across the region.
