Course Prerequisites
This is not an entry-level course. To enrol, candidates must generally have:
An active 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
A relevant Level 3 electrical qualification (such as C&G 2365, 5357, or equivalent).
Prior hands-on experience with single and three-phase testing.
Course Content
The course covers the knowledge and skills required for competent inspection and testing. Candidates will learn how to conduct inspection and testing on our specialist training rigs which simulate electrical installations. This provides the opportunity to practice verification and inspection of systems in preparation for the practical assessment and exam.
The Assessment Structure
The assessment is largely open-book and cuts down on duplicate testing from the older separate routes:
Online Multiple-Choice Exam: A computer-based test covering the theoretical rules of inspection and testing.
Practical Assignment: A hands-on test where you physically isolate, inspect, and test a simulated installation, find faults, and fill out actual certificates

Your image will be stored against your electronic student record and may also be linked to your email account and your electronic college timetable for these purposes. Your personal image may be retained for up to 2 years after completion/withdrawal from studies.
