Mandatory training for Health and Social Care Providers

Tier 2 of Oliver’s training is divided into two parts. The first part is the 90-minute e-Learning for Health module with handbook. This e-Learning must be completed prior to attending the 1-day face to face event.

By continuing to book this training you are confirming that you have completed the 90-minute Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disability and Autism e-Learning with handbook.

This one-day face to face training is designed for health and social care staff who may need to provide care and support to autistic people and people with a learning disability.

The training is co-delivered by an approved trainer with a learning disability, an approved autistic trainer, and an approved facilitating trainer.

IMPORTANT:

Participants are required to attend in person for the full day.

Some of the training content includes sensitive and potentially challenging information about Oliver’s tragic story. If you feel affected by Oliver’s story and the content of the training, it is important that you speak to your employer and to access appropriate support.

Participants will receive a certificate of completion following the face-to-face training and your organisation will be advised that you have completed the training. Attending. You will be responsible for sharing your certificate with your employer, if required.
