Dementia Awareness – Tea & Cake Session

Let’s talk about dementia.

Join us for a friendly and informal Dementia Awareness Tea & Cake Session at Dewsbury Road Community Hub & Library.

Dementia can sometimes be difficult to talk about, and people may not always know what signs to look for or where to go for help. This session is a relaxed opportunity to learn more, ask questions and have a conversation over a cup of tea and some cake.

We’ll talk about:

What dementia is

Some of the signs to look out for

Why getting help and a diagnosis early can make a difference

Common myths and misunderstandings about dementia

Things we can do to look after our brain health

What dementia support is available in Leeds

There will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions, share experiences or simply listen. You don’t need to know anything about dementia before coming.

The session is particularly aimed at reaching our diverse communities in Leeds , where dementia may not always be openly discussed, but everyone is very welcome.

Tea, cake and refreshments will be provided.
