About This Event

For those interested in upcycling, a Felt Patch Making Evening Taster Workshop is scheduled at Meanwood Community Centre in Leeds on October 15th, at 6:30 PM. Experienced mending teacher Lorna will guide participants through making a cute and practical felt patch, perfect for personalizing items or as a gift idea. All materials will be supplied but feel free to bring the item you’d like to patch for reference. Bag, jacket or outerwear recommended.

The workshop is suitable for complete beginners or those wanting to refresh their skills.

Hot drinks and biscuits are included.

To make our Thursday taster evenings as accessable as possible, we have made the tickets as low cost as we can without affecting the quaility of the workshop. If you would really like to attend this workshop but feel you cannot afford the ticket price please contact jen@stitch-up.org.uk as we sometimes have hardship bursary places available.

Stitch-Up CIC is a social enterprise and any profits made are reinvested straight back into delivering our creative community projects supporting vulnerable and disadvantaged people in Leeds to learn new skills and improve wellbeing.

We will also be using this time to gain feedback from participants about what creative activities they would like to see going forward at Meanwood Community Centre so all feedback is greatly appreciated.

There is ample parking available at the Community Centre Car Park. If you cannot fit in the Car Park, please park on the main part of Stainbeck Avenue, with consideration to the residents please do not park in the cul-de-sac.

The Stitch-Up Studio is to the rear of the Community Centre. Once you arrive in reception please follow the signs for Stitch-Up.
