Our brand new Sunset Walks are here…

We’ll be making the most of those lighter evenings with a relaxed social walk around one of Lincoln’s most beautiful spots before stopping together to watch the sunset 🌅

Starting and finishing from our HQ at The Swan Holme, this is all about switching off after a busy day, getting outdoors, and enjoying great company with an unreal backdrop.

There’s something special about summer evenings spent outside… slower pace, golden skies, fresh air, and good conversation.

Whether you’re coming for the views, the headspace, or simply to meet new people… this is your sign to get involved 💙

We’ll finish the evening back at Lincoln Hike Club HQ in the Tipi with an optional celebratory toast 🥂✨

GOOD TO KNOW 💙🥾

• Meeting Point: The Swan Holme TIPI round the back of the pub

• Time: 7:30PM meet for a prompt 7:50PM start

• Parking Address: The Swan Holme, Doddington Road, Lincoln, LN6 3RX

• Parking: FREE, but spaces are limited so please consider walking, cycling, car sharing, or getting dropped off where possible

• Route: Scenic circular sunset route around Hartsholme / Swanholme area

A relaxed social route with a mix of park paths and lakeside trails

• Distance: Approx. 3 to 4 miles

• Pace: Easy and social — nobody gets left behind

• Fitness Level: Suitable for all abilities. If you can walk comfortably, you’ll be absolutely fine

• Sunset Stop:

We’ll pause together at a great local viewpoint to take in the sunset as a group 🌅

• What to Bring:

Water

Suitable footwear (trainers or walking shoes)

Weather appropriate clothing

Head torch or small torch recommended for the walk back

• Dogs: Allowed on leads 🐕

• Age: 18+ for this event

• Safety:

This is a community walk, not a guided hike. You take part at your own risk

Our team will be spread throughout the group to support and keep things running smoothly

As visibility drops, please take extra care and follow guidance from the team

Any post walk celebratory drinks are entirely optional and consumed at your own risk. Lincoln Hike Club accepts no responsibility for any decisions made relating to alcohol consumption, including driving to or from the event. If you choose to drink and are driving, it is entirely your responsibility to ensure you are legally fit and safe to do so.
