Celebrate the outstanding work by communities caring for their local green spaces.

Join us for an inspiring morning of conservation, actions and discussion, compered by Melvyn Prior. We will hear from the community finalists in the Lincolnshire Environmental Awards and the winner for 2026 will be announced.

There will be opportunities to ask questions and meet a range of community organisers. It’s the perfect opportunity to pick up tips on how to transform your garden, community space or small landholding into a haven for wildlife and be inspired by the amazing projects that are happening across Lincolnshire neighbourhoods.

Bring your sandwiches for a community picnic in our woodland.

We will also be unveiling the plans for the transformation of the Education Centre into the Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust Whisby HUB (Helping Understand Biodiversity). This has been influenced by you and your communities so that we provide the support and learning opportunities you have asked for. We would love to hear more about your thoughts and ideas for support, involvement in the network.

Tea, coffee and cold drinks will be available.

The Lincolnshire Environmental Awards are organised by the Rotary Club of Lindum, Lincoln, and the Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust and are sponsored by Pennells Garden Centres.

How much: The event is free to attend but please book so we can keep track of numbers.

Suitable for: Anyone involved with managing local green spaces for wildlife.

What to bring: A picnic. We'll provide drinks and some nibbles.

Car Parking: Please park in the main Whisby Nature Park car park (parking fees apply).
