A day in nature, the hills and Ukrainian community!

Ukrainian Cultural Centre Lincoln is organising a one-day trip to the beautiful Peak District on Saturday, 17 October 2026.

We invite adults and children to spend an active and enjoyable day in nature, with a walk through the hills, beautiful scenery, a reservoir and dam, and, of course, great company from our Ukrainian community. 🇺🇦

It is a wonderful opportunity to take a break from the busy city, spend time with family and friends, and give children a proper day outdoors — away from Wi-Fi, games and endless TikTok! 📱😄

📍 Meeting point: Lincoln Railway Station

🕘 9:00 am — Departure from Lincoln🕚 11:00 am — Arrival in the Peak District🥾 11:00 am–4:30 pm — Group hike, approximately 8–10 km📸 1:00 pm — Group photo at the viewpoint🍽️ 5:00 pm — Meet at a pub for dinner and some time to relax🚌 6:00 pm — Departure for Lincoln🏠 Around 8:00 pm — Estimated arrival back in Lincoln

Times may change slightly depending on traffic conditions and the pace of the group.

📍 MEETING POINT

Lincoln Railway Station

Please arrive before 9:00 am so that everyone is ready for departure on time.

The coach will depart from the meeting point at 9:00 am sharp.

💷 COST

£5 per person

The price includes the organised coach transfer.

⚠️ Places are limited — only 34 seats are available on the coach.

🎒 WHAT TO BRING

As British weather in October can change very quickly, please come prepared for different conditions. 🌦️

Please bring:

💧 Water — at least one bottle per person🥾 Comfortable, waterproof walking shoes with good grip🧥 A waterproof and windproof jacket🧶 An extra warm layer, such as a fleece or jumper🎒 A small backpack for personal belongings🍎 Food and snacks for the whole day☔ A waterproof jacket, raincoat or poncho🧦 Spare socks🧢 A hat/buff and gloves, depending on the weather, especially for children🔋 A power bank📱 A fully charged mobile phone

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 FOR FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN

The route is designed as a group walk for adults and children. However, please be aware that the walk will be approximately 8–10 km through natural terrain.

Please consider your child’s fitness and ability to complete the walk before booking and make sure they have suitable clothing and footwear.
