A fun, hands-on introduction to fashion design for budding young designers aged 8–14, exploring draping, fashion drawing and mood boards.

Beyond The Rail is a three-day immersive fashion and creative experience by All Over The Shop, taking place at Liverpool Metquarter from 18–20 September 2026 as part of Fashion Britain and London Fashion Week, in collaboration with the British Fashion Council.

Bringing together Liverpool's independent designers, makers and creative community, the weekend will feature hands-on workshops, live making, styling, personalisation, interactive experiences and creative installations throughout the space.

Introduction to Fashion

Join Kirsty Doyle for a fun, hands-on introduction to the world of fashion design, designed for young creatives aged 8–14.

During this 60-minute session, budding designers will experiment with different parts of the fashion design process, including draping challenges, using fabric, shape and a mannequin to create their own designs; fashion drawing, exploring how designers turn ideas into fashion illustrations; and mood boards, developing a creative vision through colour, texture, imagery and inspiration.

The session is relaxed and supportive, encouraging creativity, building confidence and giving young people a taste of what it's like to work as a fashion designer.
