About Disney's The Lion King

Disney's The Lion King at the Lyceum Theatre, London is an internationally celebrated musical based on Disney's film. Reimagined for the stage by director Julie Taymor, it follows Simba’s journey from wide-eyed cub to his destined role as King of the Pridelands.

The production combines colour, effects and music in a stage adaptation built around the story’s central journey and characters. It has a running time of 2 hours and 30 minutes, including one interval.

Performances run Tuesday to Saturday at 7.30pm, with matinees on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday at 2.30pm. Strobe lighting is used several times during the performance.

Before you book

The Lion King is recommended for ages 6 and up. Children under 3 are not permitted to enter the Lyceum Theatre. All persons aged 16 or under must be accompanied by an adult and may not sit on their own within the auditorium. Everyone entering the theatre, regardless of age, must have a ticket.

You will receive a confirmation email. If you choose box office collection, print the confirmation and bring it on the day, at least 30 minutes before the performance start time. If you choose e-tickets, they will be sent by email and can be printed at home. No refunds or exchanges are available after purchase.

The venue opens 90 minutes before the start time. Guests must be seated no later than 5 minutes before the show begins, and latecomers may need to wait before being seated, which could mean missing part of the performance.
