About Disney's The Lion King

Disney's The Lion King at the Lyceum Theatre, London, is an internationally celebrated musical adapted from Disney's film and directed by Julie Taymor. It tells the story of Simba, from young cub to his destined role as King of the Pridelands.

The stage production brings together colour, effects and music in a format that has made the show a long-running theatre attraction for audiences of all ages.

Running time: 2 hours and 30 minutes, including one interval. Performances run Tuesday to Saturday at 7.30pm, with matinees on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday at 2.30pm.

Before you book

Children under 3 years of age are not permitted to enter the Lyceum Theatre. The Lion King is recommended for ages 6 and up. All persons aged 16 or under must be accompanied by an adult and may not sit on their own within the auditorium. All persons entering the theatre, regardless of age, must have a ticket.

You will receive a confirmation email. If you choose box office collection, print the confirmation and bring it with you on the day, at least 30 minutes before the performance start time. If you choose e-tickets, they will be sent by email and can be printed at home. The venue opens 90 minutes before the start time, and guests must be seated no later than 5 minutes before the show begins. Latecomers may need to wait before being seated and could miss part of the performance. Strobe lighting is used several times during the performance. No refunds or exchanges are available after purchase.
