About Disney’s The Lion King

Disney’s The Lion King at the Lyceum Theatre, London is Disney’s stage adaptation of the film. Reimagined by director Julie Taymor, it follows Simba’s journey from young cub to his destined role as King of the Pridelands.

The production brings the story to the stage with colour, effects and music, giving a live theatre setting to one of Disney’s best-known stories.

Key facts: The running time is 2 hours and 30 minutes, including one interval. Performances run Tuesday to Saturday at 7.30pm, with matinees on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday at 2.30pm.

Before you book

We recommend The Lion King for ages 6 and over. Children under 3, including babies in arms, will not be admitted. All guests aged 16 or under must be accompanied by an adult and may not sit on their own in the auditorium. Everyone entering the theatre, regardless of age, must have a ticket.

The venue opens 90 minutes before the start time. Arrival times vary by seating area: 75 minutes before for Royal Circle and Boxes A, B, F and G; 60 minutes before for Stalls and Boxes E and K; and 45 minutes before for Grand Circle standing positions. Guests must be seated no later than 5 minutes before the show starts, and latecomers may need to wait before being seated. Strobe lighting is used several times during the performance.

You will receive a confirmation email. If you choose box office collection, print the confirmation and bring it with you on the day, at least 30 minutes before the performance starts. If you choose e-tickets, they will be sent by email and can be printed at home. No refunds or exchanges are available after purchase.
