About This Event

The Downham Library Reading Group will host a literary gathering on 25 September 2026 at Downham Library in London. Various performers are expected to lead discussions aimed at both avid readers and newcomers to the genre. The event is open for everyone to attend without charge. This session promises a friendly atmosphere for those interested in sharing stories or exploring new titles.

Downham Library Reading Group

Join us at Downham Library for our friendly monthly Reading Group sessions. Each month, we come together to discuss a chosen book, share different perspectives, and enjoy thoughtful conversation in a welcoming and relaxed setting. Whether you're a regular reader or looking to try something new, everyone is welcome.

On Friday 25 September, we will be discussing Convenience Store Woman by Sayaka Murata. As part of ESEA Heritage Month, we have selected a book by a Japanese author and welcome anyone interested in exploring this acclaimed novel with us. Copies of the selected book are available to borrow from Downham Library.

Come along and enjoy discussing great books with others in person. We look forward to seeing you there!
