Our pick for this month is The Employees by Olga Ravn. In stark, pristine prose, Olga Ravn forms a timeless meditation on productivity, pleasure and what the far-flung future might miss.

Tickets cost £5 and include 10% off a drink at Downstairs at Dillons. Ticket-holders will also be entitled to a 10% discount on the following month's book club pick - and any books that they wish to buy that evening - if they purchase it from Waterstones Gower Street.

We will hold a vote for the following bookclub pick on the night.
